I’m participating in the UX Writing Challenge, provided by Daily UX Writing. So for 15 days, I’ll be posting daily, with the results of my work and I hope to get some feedback from you. Thanks in advance!

I really couldn't do much with only 75 characters total, but synthesis is what an app notification is about, right?

In this challenge, the prompt said that a sports fan is at a wedding, while their favorite team scores on a match played against their arch-rivals. The challenge was to quickly let the user know about the latest play, the current score and the key players.

Right there, in the title, the user is able to acknowledge that his favorite team has scored. I also added as one of the first information, what was the score of the match, just in case the user missed any other goal.

For the message's body, I added the name of the player and how he scored. The entire message used only words, phrases, and concepts familiar to the user, in observation to Jacob Nielsen's second heuristic — Match between System and the Real World.

I think the entire message was straight forward and contained all the information the user needed to know at that occasion. More than that, could distract them from the wedding.

Here’s the solution I’ve come up for this challenge:

Two cards with the instructions for challenge #7 and the solution for the challenge

I’d appreciate any feedback from you.

Thanks and see you next time! :)
